Not unlike most drummers, my dad is a drummer and because of this there were always plenty of drums around the house for me to bang on. When I was young i used to sit on the drums and try my best to imitate my dad, but it wasn't until age 11 that I really took an interest in learning how to play.
A buddy from my hockey team happened to be in a band which didn't have a drummer so I jumped at the opportunity. The guys in the band quickly changed my taste in music by introducing me to bands such as Metallica and Incubus. From then on out it was straight to the basement everyday after school (sometimes instead of school if the parents were working) and straight to the drum set. This daily routine happened for about 9 more years until my good friend Tim Shaw had a proposition that I couldn't refuse.
For the last 5 or so years I have occupied the drum set behind THE RYDE and couldn't be happier to be there. I will continue to write and record, and most importantly enjoy playing amongst one of the best rock bands the world hasn't heard of,
Yet.
