Hello friends and fans, my name is Boris Novak and here's my quick autobiography. Enjoy!

I started playing acoustic guitar at age 14. After a few years of playing guitar I started jamming with school friends and also started playing bass guitar. I enjoyed playing bass and was asked to fill the bassist position for a Thunder Bay, Ontario rock band called Stolen Footprints. We played several local cover gigs for fun and started writing our own material. After the unexpected death of the lead singer in August 2000 the band parted ways.

I still had the passion to play bass and heard about another local rock band called 'The Ryde' who were looking for a bassist. I began speaking with members of The Ryde in 2003 about filling the position and soon started jamming with the band. After a few jams, The Ryde accepted me as their permanent bassist. The band decided to move to Toronto, Ontario in 2004 to pursue our musical career.

My main musical influences include Metallica, Tool, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.
